The students will meet people with special needs (disabilities) from their community, learn about their daily life and together they will find a problem they wish to solve. During the project the students will be exposed to the field of Biomimicry through a visit to the local petting zoo and through lectures and activities given by experts and teachers.
The students will work in groups to plan and design a product according to the engineering design process. The product that will be developed will solve the special needs people’s problem and will be inspired by nature.
