Islands Diversity for Science Education aims to integrate science research in classrooms located in Islands across the world, through the Design Thinking methodology. By using a collaborative
inquiry approach and an interdisciplinary pedagogical model that integrates art practices (like personal geography), local culture and history students will invest in research that is relevant to
their local communities. Through IDiverSE, teachers will discover several activities prepared to the needs of the teachers and students and will discover a network of collaboration among teachers from the different involved islands. The final outcome will be in the form of a science trail created by the students, open to the local community and visitors, where the major challenges and proposed solutions are presented in an interactive science tour.
